I love the speed of hosting my websites on Amazon LightSail, but I pulled my hair out trying to figure out how to increase the PHP memory available to WordPress. On a normal shared hosting account, you'd just edit php.ini directly — but on a LightSail instance running Bitnami, it's not that simple. Here's how I managed to change the PHP memory limit for WordPress.
I'd strongly suggest creating a snapshot before you touch any settings — make changes at your own risk.
