I've been running an AeroPress in the truck for a while now, and I finally got around to figuring out a way to store it that doesn't waste any space. Turns out the AeroPress nests inside a GSI mug, and that mug nests inside a titanium pot — so the whole coffee setup collapses down into one container instead of taking up three separate spots in the drawer.
How it nests
I'm not going to walk through how to actually use an AeroPress here — there are plenty of videos out there already covering that. What I wanted to show is how these three pieces pack together: the AeroPress breaks down into the chamber, plunger, and filter cap, all of which tuck inside the GSI mug along with a stack of filters. That mug then drops into the titanium pot, lid goes on, and that's it — one compact unit instead of a pile of loose gear.
I also made a custom laser-cut "Adventure Coffee" box to keep the whole kit corralled in one place in the truck — no more digging around for loose pieces. Between the nesting and the box, this is about as compact as a real cup of pour-over coffee gets on the road.
